This project intends to showcase some of the main Middle Eastern actors, comedians, singers, writer, and designers and the great contribution they have had to the global cultural scene.
The cultural and creative industries give meaning to our reality in more than one way, and the Middle East region is a great exponent of visual, material, and literary arts, which have made a huge impact in the world for centuries.
In this video, we will see some of the most well known Middle Eastern artists to acknowledge their great contribution to the global cultural scene.
Elie Saab: Elie Saab is a designer deeply rooted in his Middle Eastern origins. Famous celebrities and royalty all over the world have worn his designs.
Amr Diab: Amr Diab is known as the Father of Mediterranean music. He has achieved the World Music Awards twice.
Rawsan Hallak: Rawsan Hallak is a Middle Eastern comic whose stand-up focuses on issues that affect women. She is starring in Netflix’s massive new global series “Comedians of the World”.
Elif Shafak: Elif is Turkey’s most popular author, her books have gained widespread love across the world.
Nesreen Tafesh: Nesreen has won the Best Arab Actress award in 2016, she is known for productions such as Alekhwa (2014) and 33 Days (2012).
