 A well-known contemporary Emirati singer listed as one of the top ten Arab Singers by Forbes Magazine in 2023.

The long: 

Ahlam Alshamsi, the daughter of an Emirati folk singer, was born in Bahrain and currently lives in the United Arab Emirates. She has accomplished much in her career as she has released over 14 albums and has been honored in multiple festivals. In 2011, Alshamsi was a judge on MBC’s Arab Idol along with other great singers. She has a large social media platform with almost 15 million followers on Instagram, showing her appeal to the younger generations. Ahlam’s music is described as traditional Arabian music intertwined with modern pop.  

To listen or not to listen:

Definitely listen! If you are fond of upbeat music, you will enjoy her music very much. Even if you don’t typically like pop, Ahlam Al Shamsi’s music will change your mind!
