BAHRAIN

Bahrain, or al-bahrayn—meaning “two seas,” is the name of a small Arab archipelago located in the southwestern part of the Persian Gulf. It thrives as a major tourist destination for visitors mainly from neighboring Saudi Arabia. The people of Bahrain are mostly conservative, a sentiment that stems from their belief in the power of family as the cornerstone of society. Their constitution reinforces this crucial idea by saying “the family is the basis of society, deriving its strength from religion, morality and love of the homeland. The law preserves its lawful entity, strengthens its bonds and values, under its aegis extend.”
