The short:

Aashir Wajahat is a Pakistani singer-songwriter known for his catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, and Pakistani pop music often heard on TikTok reels. 

The long:

As an impressive vocalist, Wajahat has sung for popular Pakistani dramas and released his own songs, as well as collaborations with other up-and-coming Pakistani artists. “Sadqay” featuring Nehaal Naseem, did a rare feat of uniting Pakistani and Indian audiences because of its catchy melody and incorporation of Qawwali musical styles, taking social media by storm upon its release. However, my favorite songs of his are from his debut EP: “Thora Muskara De,” “Tune Tha Kia,” and “Gaata Nahi.”  

To listen or not to listen:

Most definitely! Pakistan has so much musical talent, and artists like Wajahat have a lot of potential to bring modern musical style to Pakistani folk music!
