Piano Music of the Middle East

Review by Eunsoo Kang

The short:

Piano Music of the Middle East is a collection of compositions by numerous middle-eastern composers.

The long:

The artist of this album, Amiram Rigai, is an Israeli pianist. Not much is known of this pianist, however, most reviewers praise him for his strong technique and lyricism. Featuring composers such as Paul Ben-Haim, Andre Amine Hossein, Ilhan Mimaroglu, Anis Fuleihan, and Rigai himself, this album presents 20th-century compositions inspired by middle-eastern traditions.

To listen or not to listen:

Definitely a listen! All of the pieces in this album are engaging and offer insight into middle eastern music
